Stony in Bloom Plant Sale & Coffee Morning (with added Shakespeare)

Saturday 23 April 2016
09.30 am - 02.00 pm

Those good Stony Stratford in Bloom people will be holding their spring plant sale, with lots of flowering, fruiting, and vegetating(?) plants raising funds for SSiB’s work. York House will, as usual, be providing a splendid tea & coffee bar with droolworthy home-made cakes.

There will be the traditional “Seed Swap” for you to exchange plant seeds and acquire some unusual varieties.┬áThe planting of the Edible Bed will take place at about 10.30.

Not only that, but York House will be marking the official opening of its sparkly new storage building – with the bottle-cracking honours falling to Rob Gifford, Chairman of Stony Stratford Town Council.

This will also be the first event in Stony’s year (almost) of celebrating Shakespeare’s 400th anniversary, with plant-related snippets from the Bard’s work, a poetic praise of things horticultural from the Bard of Stony Stratford, and planting on a Shakespearean Theme.

Entry is free.
