Music, Mischief, and Merriment in Stony Stratford This Summer!
Following last year’s sell out ‘Picnic in the Park’ success, Wolverton Gilbert and Sullivan Society are back again to wow local audiences with “Trials and Tribulations”. Pack your picnic, bring a blanket and enjoy an evening of live music and comic theatre in the beautiful surroundings of York House in Stony Stratford.
Set against the beautiful backdrop of York House, this entertaining event promises something for everyone. The programme opens with a lively themed musical selection featuring well loved songs from hit shows including Sweeney Todd, Avenue Q, and Cabaret, alongside a generous helping of much-loved Gilbert and Sullivan favourites.
The show culminates in a performance of Sullivan’s Trial by Jury — a witty, fast-paced comic operetta packed with memorable characters, sharp humour and delightful music. A cornerstone of the Gilbert and Sullivan repertoire, the show offers a perfect introduction for newcomers and a nostalgic treat for long-time fans.

Drinks will be available for purchase from the bar from 4:30PM and the show will start at 5:00PM.
