We’d like to thank Milton Keynes Community Foundation for the £750 grant they contributed towards the fantastic new staging system we bought earlier in the year. It has been used loads already by our Act Out / Act Up drama groups, at musical fundraising events for York House and other charities and for the regular Comedy Cow events. Additional funding was raised by the young people of Act Out & Act Up through ticket sales for their first ever Pantomime in December 2015 and also with donations made to the York House LocalGiving.Com Fund. We’re sure that the new stage will serve the community for many years to come – cheers!
In May, York House was most pleased to host two delightful events which raised money for other good causes – and provided funds for York House’s own community projects.
Yorkiefest (pics below) raised a whopping £1345 for Diabetes UK and the British Heart Foundation, and the Living Archive Band (pics to follow) clocked up a wonderful £700 for the Living Archive project.

From York House to Carnegie Hall – what could be more obvious? Local singer, Emma Davies, performed with her choir in New York after a fund-raising effort which included a “Pointless” quiz at York House. Now read on…
“At Stony Stratford will they be tonight.” Shakespeare, King Richard III Act 2, Scene IV
A fine night of performances from local thespians (including the youngsters from Act-Out/Act-Up). Thanks to all who participated and supported – the proceeds will go to York House’s community and arts projects. Here’s his anniversary cake.
