Performers’ Night feat Rod Vervest & Mark Macausland

NOTE THAT FROM MARCH 2025, SONG LOFT EVENTS ARE ON THE 2ND & 4TH FRIDAYS (CHANGED FROM 1ST & 3RD).

Come and perform those songs and tunes that you have been practising. Kicking off proceedings will be Rod Vervest from Australia and Mark McCausland from Ireland. Their act is underpinned by neatly twined fingerstyle guitar that is a celebration of the early folk blues and ragtime guitar era through to Merle Travis, Doc Watson, Chet Atkins and their own tunes. The repertoire is a mixture of gentle folk blues songs, harmony vocals and swinging instrumentals presented with some history of the players/stories. There is always a good dose of toe-tapping rhythms and humour.

Doors open at 7.30pm and there will be a bar for refreshments, alcoholic and non-alcoholic.
