Join me in the Journey to a handstand
We will start with basic wrist and shoulder warm ups
Core exercises
Basic balance exercise
Overcome fear of falling
Leaning how to fall safely.
Slowly progress into the handstand.
I hour £10 per person
Please bring a yoga mat, a water, and a mind set to have fun.
The Journey to handstand workshop will teach you conditioning, flexibility and body strengthening exercises and the drills to work towards the development of a perfect handstand.
This workshop is run by Andy Billington, a qualified personal trainer specialising in martial arts and calisthenics – a form of exercise that uses a person’s bodyweight and requires little or no equipment. Examples of calisthenics exercises include push ups, sit ups, and burpees; there are many health benefits to calisthenics and most people can start exercising right away.
This workshop is aimed at adult beginners; Andy will teach the basics to help you build the foundations to develop a strong handstand.
Learn how to
· Let go of your fears by allowing yourself to be upside down as well as exercises for core strength.
· Confidently and safely enter and exit a handstand
· Do drills that will allow you to practice your handstand and take it to the next level.
