The 2 workshops will focus on the pre requisite skills for handwriting, with explanations for caregivers on how each activity supports handwriting skills and how these can be continued to be supported at home.
There will be different stations around the room which you and your little one can go and explore together. Such things include, games to support fine motor skills, different ways of encouraging prewriting shapes and letter formation, how core muscles play a part and how these can also be supported.
Dani will be on hand to discuss how you can support your child at home and at school and what different adaptions and support that could be accessible for your child i.e. pencil grips.

The first workshop will be aimed at slightly younger children, very much looking at the foundation skills needed for handwriting, with some table top activities. The second workshop is aimed at slightly older children or those more interested in sitting down! It will have similar activities to the first workshop but more opportunities for table top activities.

At the end of the course, you and little one will come away having had fun and knowing more about how to support their handwriting at home, and having fun while doing it.
