Phoenix Rising MK CIC
Phoenix Rising MK provide a range of creative and community based activities for adults with disabilities and support needs.
We are based at York House Centre, a lovely venue with an excellent reputation for its community based work in the historic and picturesque location of Stony Stratford – “The Jewel of Milton Keynes”. Just a few minutes walk from all the amenities the town has to offer.
We have over 65 clients (known as “group members”) from the Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire and South Northants area. Our programme includes: Art, Crafts, Photography, Performing Arts, Cooking, Out & About activities in the community (these include Swimming and Phoenix Wild, an animal interaction session).
We offer a fortnightly Saturday programme with an exciting range of activities and visits.
PHOENIX RISING:MK was established in 2015 by Directors Adrian Pinckard & Sarah Bament, both of whom have over 30 years experience in teaching and educational management in both the mainstream and learning disability sectors. The staff team are also highly experienced and passionate about working with adults with support needs.
We also run regular social opportunities including the popular monthly ‘Open Mic’ evenings at The Cock Hotel in Stony Stratford.
We are a Community Interest Company (CIC) therefore all profits go back into helping us to support people with disabilities.
