What we do
We provide a variety of rooms for hire to the whole community and estimate that our annual footfall is circa 50,000 people.
We have over 40 regular user groups including two Youth Clubs, affordable community drama classes for young people (Act Out & Act Up), baby & toddler groups, health & wellbeing groups, special needs/self-help groups, senior citizens, local musicians and artists plus a wide variety of clubs and classes.
To help raise funds for maintenance of the facilities the building is also available to hire for ad hoc parties, events and commercial meetings and events.
We run large-scale community arts events/projects such as the Stony Stratford Lantern Project and York House Arts for All (family arts workshops).
We also have a Community Gardens project on our rear grounds.
In addition to our regular user groups we host fundraising events throughout the year showcasing a wide variety of musical genres, comedy, quiz nights, spoken word and talks.
York House Centre – welcome home.
